Melissa is an Art Therapist who has been working with youth and families in the Somerville area for many years. She started making jewelry in college. She's an expert with creating effortless beauty from found objects. I really don't know how she does it! Everything is filled with light humor and joy, with just the right touch of drama.

Melissa needed a website to showcase her Petite Boutons collection. Creating portfolios for artists can be wonderfully straightforward. Especially for someone like Melissa. She knows what she's about and everything she makes has a story.

We blocked a few hours on a Friday afternoon for a photoshoot of a few feature pieces. From there, we assembled a website. Websites are never done. The biggest (most important) step is knowing what you want to say, and building the most basic elements that convey that message. Minimalism really. The fewest number of brush strokes that create the painting.
