Primitive Travel-Journal Sketching

Travel Doodle, Oaxaca, January 2015

Above: a representation of where I'm aiming to grow—illustration and story telling. In the past year I've become incredibly fond of picture journaling and graphics recording. I try to be as unencumbered as possible (capturing the most fundamental representations of my experiences as soon as they come).

The above example was created after exploring a market in Oaxaca, Mexico. Lasting impressions include; cotton-candy-quinceanera dresses, a mother making a local corn-based drink (as she watched her baby), and an elderly woman emerging from a dusty shack, wagging a finger, letting me know I had wandered into an area where I was not welcome.
